In 2006, our Executive Chairman, Dato’ Sri Yew Ah Chai , acquired a real estate developer Muda Awam Sdn. Bhd. with a bold vision to breathe new life into the suburban heart of Batu Gajah, Perak. Under his leadership, Muda Awam Sdn. Bhd. began its journey by constructing 155 units of low-cost single-storey houses in Phase 1, completed in 2007. These homes were sold for as little as RM35,000 per unit , showcasing Dato’ Sri Yew’s unwavering dedication to making homeownership accessible to all. This marked the beginning of a transformative era for Batu Gajah. Over the years, Muda Awam Sdn. Bhd. successfully completed 458 homes, ranging from terrace houses to semi-detached units, with selling prices between RM129,800 and RM250,000 . The development achieved an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM51.7 million , solidifying Muda Awam’s reputation as one of the most trusted developers in the region.

Beyond Batu Gajah, Dato’ Sri Yew Ah Chai’s expertise in property development extends to other ventures. As the Executive Chairman of Broadland Management Sdn. Bhd. and 737 Development Sdn. Bhd. , he has successfully delivered modern urban living solutions across Malaysia. In 2016, Broadland Management Sdn. Bhd. completed a 280-unit condominium project in Cheras, Selangor, with a GDV of RM106.4 million , where units were sold from RM336,000 . Meanwhile, 737 Development Sdn. Bhd. made history as the first developer with privately owned land to join the government’s RUMAWIP initiative , aimed at helping young people own homes in Kuala Lumpur. Completed in 2020, this project delivered 638 affordable apartment units with a GDV of RM191.4 million at a selling price of RM300,000 a unit, further cementing Dato’ Sri Yew’s legacy in promoting inclusive homeownership.
